Riots and demonstrations in Kampala and some major Towns have in the last few years been the hallmark of political activity in Uganda. But these demonstrations are not alien to Uganda.Infact they date as far back as the 1940s and actually helped to give birth to Uganda's first political party. Then, the wind of change was spreading across the continent that opened the eyes of the elite to engage in active politics.
