Internal Security Minister Katoo Ole Metito has reiterated that the crackdown on the Mombasa Republican Council will not ease until peace is restored in the region, saying he has no political ambitions that will hamper him from executing the tough job of restoring peace. Metito's remarks come as some residents of Kombani in Kwale County, where MRC chair Omar Mwamnuadzi was arrested on Monday, fled the area for fear of reprisal attacks by the MRC, despite heavy security presence.
