An administration police officer sustained serious injuries on Friday night after being attacked by suspected members of the Mombasa Republican Council in Kaloleni, Kilifi County. The incident happened shortly after more than 50 attackers armed with machetes and pangas raided Kaloleni AP post and attacked the officer before robbing him of his G-3 rifle. Coast Provincial Commissioner Samuel Kilele has meanwhile warned that security agencies will clampdown hard on elements of MRC attempting to cause chaos in the region, as Esther Kahumbi now reports.
