Kenya's Separatist Group Members Granted Bail

38 Mombasa Republican Council members including the group's chairman Omar Mwamnwadzi and his wife were charged at the Mombasa law courts with being in possession of illegal weapons. Mwamnwadzi was charged with being in possession of a firearm and 15 rounds of ammunition. The suspects who were reportedly arrested following a heavy gunfight between them and the police last week, have been granted 3 million shillings bail each and a surety of the same amount.
