The family of former internal security minister George Saitoti, who died in a fatal helicopter crash in June this year, is now demanding access to the distress calls from the pilot of the ill-fated chopper.

Counsel representing the family, Fred Ngatia, made the request after the commission inquiring into the helicopter crash visited the flight control towers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Earlier there was drama at the commission's sittings at the KICC after a woman, Moraa Gesicho, disrupted proceedings, threatening to go to court over what she termed as influence on the commission by the appointing authorities. Michael Njenga reports.
