Police Go-Slow Fizzles Over Sacking Threat in Kenya

A planned go-slow by a section of the police force to press for the full implementation of a 42 percent pay hike approved in the year 2010 appears to have fizzled out.  This came after police headquarters warned that stern action would be taken against any officer found taking part in the strike. Deputy police spokesman Charles Owino said it was unconstitutional for anyone in the disciplined forces to picket or engage in strikes.
