The police recruitment exercise that sets out to add 7000 new police officers to the force ended  with low turnout marring the exercise. The exercise that also had its fair share of irregularities, including an arrest and a reported death. On their part the police remain enthusiastic that the exercise will improve the police-to-population ratio and bolster security.
