Efforts by East African member states to enhance economic integration are being hampered by the existence of non tariff barriers. The Kenya Private Sector Alliance says the move has hindered smooth flow of goods and services leading to an increase in cost of doing business between partner states. Prime Minister Raila Odinga however assured the private sector of a conducive environment for investment even as the general election nears.
