For a country like uganda with constant deadly outbreaks such as Ebola and Marburg laboratories have to be there as well as the workers. Judging by the recent awards by the African Society of Laboratory Medicine to Uganda's laboratories, Uganda seems to be upping it's game in laboratory services in early infant diagnosis, TB and Infectious diseases. Florence Naluyimba tells us of laboratory developments in the pipeline in this week's Health Focus.
