The National Agency For Food, Drug Administration And Control (NAFDAC) has dissociated itself from the claim of an alleged HIV/AIDS cure purportedly developed by the Dean, School Of Medical Sciences, University Of Benin, Professor Isaiah Ibeh.

Director General of the agency, Doctor Paul Orhii who addressed a news conference in Abuja said Professor Ibeh's herbal drug has never been presented to the agency for an evaluation of its efficacy and safety adding that the bogus claim by Professor Ibeh is capable of misleading the public especially those that have HIV/AIDS infection.

Doctor Orhii warned all persons who may want to lay similar claim to having a cure for HIV/AIDS to desist from such as he stated emphatically that there is no known cure for HIV/AIDS anywhere in the world.
