Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities Lulama Xingwana and Deputy Police Minister Maggie Sotyu respond to the rape and murder of a 17-year-old girl in Bredasdorp over the weekend.

There's been a rising tide of outrage at the gang rape and murder of the girl in the Western Cape. Anene Booysen was out with friends when a group of men attacked her on Saturday night. Her death has made both local and international headlines, and has been condemned by politicians and gender activists.
