The head of the Catholic Church Pope Benedict XVI has surprised the World by announcing his resignation to take effect at the end of February 2013. It is the first resignation of a Pope in nearly 600 years. The unusual incident has left many believers with mixed feelings. The search for a new Pope will start shortly after February 28th.
