South Africa's Defence Ministry said They Had No Option But to Withdraw Troops from CAR

Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula says South Africa had no option but to withdraw its troops from the Central African Republic once unrecognised rebels seized control. The minister was briefing Parliament on why the troops were in the country and what happened on the March 23, 2013. Thirteen SANDF troops died last month in a battle with rebels, who went on to seize the capital Bangui.
