South Africa's ruling ANC says, Margaret Thatcher was one of the strong leaders in Europe but it notes her failure to recognise the ANC as a representative of South Africans, or to isolate apartheid. Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan described her as one of the greatest world leaders of our time, who will be eternally honoured. There have been mixed reaction among ordinary Africans.
