Convicted killer Clive Derby-Lewis has been denied medical parole. The decision was made by an 11-member medical advisory board. Derby-Lewis's wife Gaye applied for the medical parole last year, as her husband was suffering from cancer and from gangrene in one leg. He was sentenced to 25 years for his part in the murder of SA Communist Party general secretary Chris Hani in 1993.
