Cases of police violence have more than trebled in the past decade. Almost four times as many deaths due to police action has been reported over the same period. This emerged during an Institute for Security Studies seminar on police brutality.

Meanwhile.....Shocking CCTV footage has emerged showing an off-duty policeman beating and kicking an unarmed woman in full view of two uniformed colleagues.
