South Africa to Eradicate Bucket Toilets

The City of Cape Town says it is planning to eradicate the bucket system for good. It has started to deliver the first of more than twelve thousand portable flushing toilets to households in informal settlements across the city but social activists say residents will only be happy with proper, fixed flushing toilets.
