Global Aviation: Profits Across 12 Billion Dollar Mark

The airline industry is projected to make a profit of $12.7 billion this year, or an equivalent of 1.08 trillion shillings, according to the International Air Transport Association, IATA. IATA's Chief Executive Tony Tyler says that will be achieved on the back of a razor thin 1.8 per cent profit margin derived from revenues of $711 billion.
