Efficient Ovens Produce Cheep, Green Energy in Uganda

Coal is the most used energy source in Uganda. In recent years, the price of coal has nearly doubled, meaning that even cooking has become too expensive for many families. In collaboration with his colleagues, Simbwa Ronald of Makarere University in Kampala has developed an oven that efficiently burns old wood and even produces charcoal.
