Press Statement on So-Called Fracking Activities in Botswana

Over the past week, the Government of Botswana has received a number of enquiries from foreign media about supposed 'fracking', activities being carried out in our country, including the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). 'Fracking' is a slang term used to describe processes involving sub-surface fracturing of rocks, usually through the injection of fluids.
