Zimbabwean jubilation over the diamonds fields in Marange swiftly ended after a 2006 government crackdown that led to the death of hundreds of diggers and the forcible removal of many from their land. Back in capital city Harare, where the urban population was fighting its own battles against poverty and political repression, the situation convinced rapper Comrade Fatso that his country had "become a nation of hustlers".

In this edition of My Song,Comrade Fatso talks about 'Korokoza', a track largely inspired by the events in Marange and whose title means 'to hustle'.

My Song showcases the personal stories behind the songs of Africa's most compelling musicians. You'll hear these musicians in their own words. No presenter, no interviewer - nothing to get in the way. Just African voices on African music.
