Egypt's Sisi Says Faced Two Assassination Attempts

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the former Egyptian army chief expected to win a presidential election this month, said he has already faced two assassination attempts, confirming rumors of plots to kill the general who deposed Islamist president Mohamed Mursi. Asked in a televised interview how many assassination attempts had been uncovered so far, Sisi replied: "Two attempts to assassinate me. I believe in fate, I am not afraid."
