Ugandan rapper MC Wang Jok, a member of rap crew Bila Wa Movement, woke up one night from a strange dream. An evil spirit told him to close the door because he was in danger. Not knowing what the dream exactly meant, he interpreted it as a warning to protect his family and loved ones, especially now that he's the man of the family since his father passed away a few years ago. In this week's My Song MC Wang Jok tells the story of his track 'Lapiny', meaning 'evil spirit' in his native Acholi. The song tells the story of an evil spirit waking up the youths of Northern Uganda from their sleep, only for them to be faced with poverty and deprivation. My Song showcases the personal stories behind the songs of Africa's most compelling musicians. You'll hear these musicians in their own words. No presenter, no interviewer - nothing to get in the way. Just African voices on African music.
