With a son who is an aspiring musician, Zimbabwean singer Prudence Katomeni Mbofana felt she needed to give him some sort of advice about the industry. She combined that idea with her experiences growing up in an environment where going to school wasn't seen as valuable in her song 'Dzidza', which means 'learn' in Shona. In this week's My Song Prudence tells about why she thinks getting a degree is just as important as making money. My Song showcases the personal stories behind the songs of Africa's most compelling musicians. You'll hear these musicians in their own words. No presenter, no interviewer - nothing to get in the way. Just African voices on African music.
