On the sidelines of the just ended US-Africa Leaders' Summit ONE.Org invited a host of African musicians and singers to deliver their message encouraging African youths and their governments to work towards creating Agricultural projects as a means to enhance their economies. Under the theme: Do Agric, It Pays, ONE.Org managed to collect over 2 million signatures in a petition that was boosted by the recording of a song, Cocoa Na Chocolate penned by Nigerian singer D'banj. 19 African artists took part in the recording that was sung in 11 different languages. A video was also released. Some of the artists came to Washington DC and were part of the performance held at the Caterpillar. Fela's off-spring Femi Kuti was part of it, Fally Ipupa of the DRC, Ay of Tanzania, Buffalo Souljah of Zimbabwe, Victoria Kimani of Kenya and sultry jazz singer Judith Sephuma of South Africa to name but a few rocked the throngs of people. Sahara TV's Fungai Maboreke sat down with three of the performers for an interview.
