Small and medium-sized enterprises in East Africa are set to do more trade across the Indian Ocean through participation in the Supporting India's Trade Preferences for Africa (SITA) project, implemented by the International Trade Centre and funded by the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID). Entrepreneurs, policymakers, members of civil society and representatives of international organizations gathered at SITA's second Partnership Platform meeting in Kigali, Rwanda, on 18-19 September, to sharpen the intervention focus of the project and discuss priority sectors in each of the five East African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania.
