Dr. Segun Ajayi conceptualized and founded Hospitals For Humanity (HFH) when he was in medical student living in the U.S. He says that the idea came after he was admitted to what was supposed to be one of Nigeria's top hospitals when he was 19. HFH recruits team members from around the world and comes to Nigeria three to four times a year to perform open heart surgeries for children with congenital heart defects. In this Nigeria Health Watch Interview, Segun speaks candidly about his passion for his work... and the children he is committed to serving.
