The cost of following Besigye might be too high for his supporters as police change tactic from the use of tear gas to unleashing canes indiscriminately regardless of whether you were a supporter or simply walking in the path that is being used by the FDC strongman at the time. While the police act allows officers to use reasonable force while maintaining law order, today's actions leave one wondering the extent and definition of reasonable.
