CORD Calls For Mass Action to Fight Amendments of Election Laws

The opposition CORD has called for mass action starting January 4th next year to protest jubilee lawmakers' passage of contentious amendments to the elections laws that were enacted in September. The opposition says the changes by the ruling jubilee administration is a recipe to steal the general elections slated for august 8th next year. The changes to the laws will now allow for the manual identification of voters as well as manual transmission of results in case the electronic system fails.
