Social Development Minister on the Grants Crisis Saga

President Jacob Zuma has called on ministers and their spokespeople to refrain from becoming embroiled in public spats. His comments come amid mounting pressure on the Department of Social Development to clarify uncertainty over its embattled social grant payment contract. The Department has assured the 17 million beneficiaries that they will receive their payments on the first of April. Our Foreign Editor Sophie Mokoena spoke to Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini and started by asking why there was a delay in resolving this matter.
