More than 600 pedestrians are killed on Western Cape roads every year. Most of these pedestrians are under the influence of alcohol. And often the driver who hits them is too. Alcohol is a scourge on our roads and is taking hundreds of our young men in the prime of their lives, whether they are drinking and driving or walking on busy roads when they are incapacitated. It is time for a change. It is time for #BoozeFreeRoads. Speak to your friends and family, and take action in your community to promote #BoozeFreeRoads. Learn more about how alcohol is damaging our society at safelyhome.westerncape.gov.za.
