Thursday (11/05/2017) marks President Jacob Zuma's deadline to provide reasons for his sacking of Former Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan, and his Deputy, Mcebisi Jonas. Last week, Judge Bashier Vally ruled in favour of the Democratic Alliance for the President to provide all documents and electronic records including correspondence, reports, contracts, memoranda, evaluations, advice received and recommendations that related to making the decisions. President Jacob Zuma had allegedly relied on an intelligence report in the March reshuffle. The DA made their submissions at the North Gauteng High Court last Thursday. Prof. Susan Booysen, Political Analyst at the University of the Witwatersrand, joins us to give us an insight into these political events.
