Judgment is expected on Monday in the SABC's disciplinary hearing against its suspended COO, Hlaudi Motsoeneng. He appeared before the disciplinary committee for a final time on Friday on charges that he brought the SABC into disrepute when he held a news conference in April 2017. In that press conference he made negative remarks against interim board member Krish Naidoo. And he also criticised the parliamentary Ad-hoc committee assigned to look at the state of the SABC's board. Motsoeneng's lawyers have argued that he did nothing to damage the SABC's reputation any further, as it was already damaged. The chairperson of the hearing, Advocate Nazeem Cassim, is expected to deliver the judgment.
