South African Mining Union Angry at AngloGold Ashanti Job Cuts

The National Union of Mineworkers has reacted angrily to AngloGold Ashanti's plans to retrench over 8 thousand workers. The union wants companies to pay one month's salary for each year of service instead of a week's salary, which the mining company is offering.
