Challenge to ANC EC Elective Conference Struck Off the Roll

Judge Belinda Hartley of the High Court in East London in the Eastern Cape has struck off the roll with costs the case of supporters of former ANC provincial chairperson Phumulo Masualle. She says the case lacks urgency but adds that Masualle's supporters, who wanted the court to nullify the weekend provincial elective conference for alleged vote rigging, can still pursue a review of their application. The conference which characterised by delays and violent clashes, left 28 people injured. This is how Judge Hartley delivered judgment.
