Department of Higher Education Backs Zuma's Free Education Plan

The Department of Higher Education and Training has described President Zuma's announcement of free education for working class and poor students as an affordable and workable plan. According to the department, the plan will cost just over R12 billion. Students from households with a combined annual income of up to R350- thousand, will not pay tuition fees, starting next year.
