Feasibility and Benefits of Free Higher Education

Universities across South Africa will open soon but they are warning students they will not accept walk-in applications. However, EFF leader Julius Malema says poor deserving students should avail themselves at the university of their choice. This comes after president Jacob Zuma announced, last month, there would be provisions for free higher education for poor students. This has left many sceptics criticising the move saying the country can't afford it and that there is no plan to implement the new policy. My next guest says free higher education is possible, in studio we are joined by Mukovhe Morris Masutha who is the Director of the Centre For Emerging Researchers.
