Hoërskool Overvaal Ruling a 'Setback for Non-Racialism'

On the eve of the 2018 academic year. Fifty five pupils in Vereeniging have not been enrolled yet. The Pretoria High court ruled against their enrollment at Overvaal. Overvaal - an Afrikaans medium school - took the matter to court after the Education department placed 55 English-language pupils at the school. Last week during arguments the departments lawyers accused the school of language segregation...but the school emphasised that's it's full and will not discriminate on the grounds of language.
