Washington, D.C. — The 27-year old champion is one of the world's top women marathon-runners. When she won the New York City marathon in 1994 she was the first African woman to do so. In Sydney she wants to attempt both the 10,000 meter race and the marathon, a body-straining feat that few Olympic athletes have ever attempted. RELATED
