Kenya: Can Ministers Revoke Land Title Deeds?

Nairobi — The election of the Narc Government has not only shattered the myth of the invincibility of Kanu that had reigned without dissent (except for irritating small noises) for 40 years, but it also brought into government people who, for a long time, had their stock and trade being "throwing stones" at the government.

It is no wonder that Messrs Raila Odinga, Amos Kimunya, Karisa Maitha, Raphael Tuju and Dr Newton Kulundu who, though being in charge of disparate ministries, have in the recent past issued public announcements that meant that allocation, and/or sale of public land and the issuance of title deeds thereto are a nullity.
