Nigeria: Oodua Groups Threaten Secession

Lagos — Two Yoruba self-determination groups, the Oodua Republic Front (ORF) and the Oodua Democratic Vanguard (ODV) have threatened that the Yoruba nation will pull out of Nigeria if the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) presidential candidate, retired Gen. Mohammadu Buhari emerges as the country's next president.

Speaking at a world press conference in Lagos, President of the ORF and Secretary of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Mr. Kayode Ogundamisi said the two militant groups would reject the presidency of Gen. Buhari because he is being funded by islamic fundamentalist groups.
