Sierra Leone: Finance Minister Tables Money Laundering Bill in Parliament

Freetown — Finance Minster Joseph Dauda Tuesday tabled "The Anti-Money Laundering Bill 2004" before Parliament.

Dauda said money laundering "essentially consist of acts to conceal or disguise the origin of illicit money with prior knowledge of that illicit origin, as it involves act of removing or bringing into Sierra Leone any property, that is the proceeds of crime'.
