Maputo — Mozambique's Renamo-Electoral Union opposition coalition reiterated on
Tuesday its backing of Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama as presidential
candidate in the general elections due later this year, reports Wednesday's
issue of the daily paper "Noticias".
The announcement was made following a conference between the leaders of
the 11 member parties in Maputo where they discussed the future of the
coalition.
