James Maclaurin has recently joined the management board of Celtel International BV as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Celtel, James was the CFO of UbiNetics, a private equity funded wireless technology business successfully sold to Cambridge Silicon Radio in August 2005. Prior to UbiNetics James, as EVP of Marconi, was instrumental in the successful $9bn restructuring and debt – equity swap of Marconi after having held a number of key managerial positions in the UK and Asia in both Marconi and its predecessor, GEC. James is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and holds 2 degrees in Engineering and Finance from Scottish universities.
