Liberia: Comium Assures Gov't Of Fair Deal

Monrovia — With just a day after media reports that it was engaged in dubious practices, the management of Comium-Liberia has consciously reacted, clarifying that it has not engaged in any dubious deal with regard to the waiver of storage charges at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) as reported in the May 8, 2007 edition of the News newspaper.

In its clarification statement issued yesterday, the management said in 2006, the company imported a consignment of good through the RIA under its customs exemptions in keeping with its Investment Incentive Contract (IIC) with the government of Liberia.
