IBTC Chartered Bank Plc joined the long list of Western Union Agents in February this year after a successful track record of significant improvements in the area of customer service and process.

In 2005, the bank began to offer Western Union® Money Transfer service in 25 locations and later expanded the network to 40 locations. With these locations, the bank carried intensive study on the service, focusing more on customer service delivery, reconciliation , accounting procedures and income generation. This exercise was done to achieve a strong structure for the service, this brought about more effectiveness and efficiency in IBTC operations.

IBTC have an intensive customer service programme managed by the bank's Customer Service Center (CSC), where Western Union staff are continuously developing their skills in terms of technology and service to ensure enhanced performance and guaranteed quality.

IBTC is looking to expand its Western Union money transfer services to 16 new locations within Nigeria.

IBTC and Western Union view their customers as its prized asset and their main focus is to provide valued quality service to them. In achieving this, the bank's Western Union Unit is engaged in several customer-oriented programs to deepen the relationship with its esteem customers.
