1 January 2008

Kampala — GRAPHIC Systems, a digital and offset printing company, will open up a new plant worth over $4m (sh7b) at Luzira, Kampala this year, to address the increasing demand for printing work in the region, the general manager has revealed.

Speaking recently at the company's end-of-year party at Lugogo, Rajesh Chaplot said the company had acquired a 1.7acre land at Luzira Industrial Park where the new plant will be erected. The factory, which will be doing screen printing for T-Shirts and bags will employ about 80 workers. "...we shall also improve our quality and capacity for the existing products," he added.
