Lonrho's Fly540 African Airline to Commence Flights to Uganda and Tanzania in Early 2008

Lonrho (AIM: LONR), the expanding conglomerate with a structured portfolio of African investments, is pleased to announce that it's Fly540 subsidiary will be commencing commercial flights to Tanzania and Uganda in early 2008.

Additionally Fly540 has also been awarded a three year Air Services Licence ("ASL") from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority to service the global freight market.

The Fly540 airline model is to create a mixed fleet of jet and turbo prop aircraft that provide East to West and North to South pan African transport routes. The Company deploys modern aircraft, operated to international standards.

David Lenigas, Lonrho's Executive Chairman commented:
