Mogadishu — Islamic clerics, who have been mediating between Islamist insurgents, are having talks with the newly elected president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed in the presidential palace, officials told Radio Shabelle on Sunday.
Somali president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed had returned back to Mogadishu yesterday and said he would talk to the Islamist insurgents, politicians, and religious leaders to consult them about making unity government.
