Liberia: National Flag Day

The President of the Republic of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has issued a proclamation declaring Monday, August 24, 2009, as "National Flag Day", to be observed throughout the Republic as a National Holiday.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Sirleaf has called upon all citizens and foreign residents within the borders of Liberia to give prominence and reverence to the observance of the day by flying the National Flag on both public and private buildings.
